Biographical/Historical note
A shoemaker, born 11 December 1859, Dauser immigrated from Germany to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 188?, where he established himself as a shoemaker. Married Sarah F____ (1863-1950). They had several children, two of whom reached adulthood: Thomas George Dauser, 1892-1911, and Anthony Dauser, 1894-1918.
