The collection contains a scrapbook of local news and events compiled by Mrs. J. T. Garner of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mrs. Garner used an old store ledger as her scrapbook, pasting newspaper articles, death and funeral notices, event programs, and invitations. The last third of the book is devoted to household hints and recipes.
