A pass from W.H. Wait, sergeant in charge of the Picket Post at the "Cutoff new Algiers, La." on 29 April 1865 allowing Private Silas Dickens to travel from Algiers, Louisiana, to New Orleans and back.
Scope and Contents note
This collection consists of a pass by Wait, countersigned and approved by Lt. Colonel H. E. Jones, permitting Private Silas Dickens of the 56th Ohio Volunteer Infantry to pass from Algiers, Louisiana "to and through the city of New Orleans."
