This collection consists of a deposition by Fruit, Burk, and Blangy, attesting to their attendance at a trial in Henderson County, Kentucky, on 3 September 1864, in which three men were tried for trying to assist an escaped slave named "Newton," the property of Archibald Dixon, cross the Ohio River and join the Union Army.
