Biographical/Historical note
Alban W. Storehalder was born on April 6, 1898 in Bowling green, Ohio. He enlisted in the Ohio National Guard on April 30, 1917 at the age of 19. He was assigned to Co. H 2nd Infantry Ohio National Guard from April 30, 1917 to October 16, 1917. Following that, he was with Co. B 1st Pioneer Regiment, Infantry until April 8, 1918, Co. B 1 Antiaircraft Machine Gun Battalion until his discharge on May 23, 1919. He was a Private and saw action with the American Expeditionary Forces from May 22, 1918 to May 6, 1919. He received an Honorable Discharge on May 23, 1919. Storehalder died on October 8, 1981 at the age of 83 and is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Waterville, Ohio.
