This collection consists of three letters to Joel F. Bledsoe, in Soldier, Kentucky, from three of his fellow “comrades” from the Spanish-American War.

This collection consists of three letters to Joel F. Bledsoe, Soldier Kentucky, from three of his fellow “comrades” from the Spanish-American War. These letters were written in 1941.

They wrote about other soldiers and officers they knew from the war.

Biographical/Historical note

Mr. Joel Bledsoe served in the Spanish-American War. He was born in 1879 and died in 1964. He is buried at the Trumbo Cemetery in Soldier, Kentucky. His son, Homer Blaine Bledsoe, served in World War II.
