Biographical/Historical note
Walter Harner Dearth was born in Middletown, Butler County, Ohio on June 21, 1890 to Charles A. and Ruth Dearth. He was a veteran of World War One, having served in the Co. E 309 Supply Train Quartermaster Corps of the American Expeditionary Forces from September 1918 to June 1919. He worked for several railroad companies and retired from the Penn Central Railroad. He died on January 6, 1981.
