Biographical/Historical note
The promissory note is signed by Richard Chanoweth of Kentucky County, as well as four witnesses.
Scope and Contents note
Contains a signed contract in which Richard Chanoweth promises to deliver to Philip Engle "Summer Deer Skins" equal in value to a barrel of whiskey sent by Philip Engle. This is a photocopy of the promissory note.
