Scope and Contents note
J. Wheaton Smith writes to Reverand G. Frear on behalf of the Pennsylvania Baptist Convention of 1855. Smith begins by reporting the large number of baptisms and finishes by requesting contributions from Frear's congregation. He leaves forwarding directions care of J.C. Davis, Treasurer, Philadelphia.
Faint embossed crest in letterhead. Writing is very clear and clean. The letter itself is delicate. Handle with care.
