Biographical/Historical note

In 1911, William Shaw was crewing aboard a chartered yacht along the Eastern coast of Florida.

Scope and Contents note

The collection contains a letter from William Shaw to his wife in Upper Montclair, New Jersey, as he was crewing aboard a chartered yacht in Florida, telling her of the plans to travel to Miami, Jacksonville and New Orleans. He also encourages her to continue setting up their home in New Jersey.
