Biographical/Historical note

In 1849, Mrs. C. Newton was a resident of Waynesville, Ohio.

Scope and Contents note

The collection contains a letter to Mrs. C. Newton of Waynesville, Ohio, from her sister, Emily, from Liberty, Inidana, in which Emily tells her about home and her other sisters, church and the death of their aunt and uncle. Emily also mentions a week-long meeting in her town. There is also a brief note from Martha, probably another sister of Emily's.
