The collection contains a letter to Sally Hill (Mrs. Robert Hill) of Paupon, Cook County, Illinois, from family members Polly Wilson and Nancy Sladen of Acworth, Sullivan County, New Hampshire. Polly and Nancy (sister and niece, respectively, to Sally) write about the deaths of various friends and family members and bemoan the fact that Sally has now moved so far away that they will probably never see each other again.
