The Stein and Thal families were residents of St. Louis, Missouri and the Midwest during the middle of the 20th-century. Comments in several of the letters indicates they were probably Jewish.

Scope and Contents note
This collections contains the correspondence of two related families, the Steins and the Thals, of St. Louis, Missouri. The bulk of the letters were written between the two families in 1968. There are also newspaper clippings and a book review inlcuded.
