Scope and Contents note
This collection contains three Woman's Relief Corps convention and encampment ribbons. The three ribbons are all different representing three different conventions.
The first being an off-white ribbon, 5 3/4" long (not including the fringe) by 2 1/4" wide. It has an off-white bow with a light blue center knot that also has a small American flag attached. This ribbon also has a 2" gold bullion fringe stitched across the bottom and includes the following text: "W.R.C. - Department of Louisiana and Mississippi - Encampment - Cleveland, Ohio, 1901".
The second ribbon is a deep golden color and is 7" long by 3 1/8" wide with images of Lucy Webb Hayes and an eagle with a shield, arrows and olive branch in its talons. The text of this ribbon is as follows: above the eagle, "Nineteenth National Convention"; below the eagle, "Woman's Relief Corps, Auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic"; below the image of Lucy Webb Hayes, "Lucy Webb Hayes - Cleveland, Ohio. September 12th and 13th 1901. Representative"
The third ribbon is a pale mauve ribbon 8 1/4" long and 2 5/8" wide and bears an image of a home above the opening music and words of 'My Old Kentucky Home' and the badge of the Woman's Relief Corps. The following text is printed on the ribbon: above the image of the house, "Kentucky W.R.G. Auxiliary to the G.A.R."; below the badge, "23nd Nat. Convention Denver, Col. 1905."
