Scope and Contents note
This collection contains a letter written by Caroline C. Whitaker to Mrs. Bangs while visiting a friend in Colchester, Connecticut. She is on her way to see her sister Julia in Willington, Connecticut and writes of her brother in California who has recently purchased an interest in one of the mines. The contents of the letter cover the rest of the family as well as the local religious community.
