Scope and Contents note
This collection contains a letter written by B. F. McAtle of Reading, Pennsylvania, to A. O. Hewitt of Bainbridge, Ohio, about his share of the inheritance of Ms. Pepple. He claims to be entitled to 1/7 of her property in the amount of $731 plus interest and gives instructions for settling the estate. A note written on the envelope states that the letter was answered in 1877 with an offer of $375.
