Scope and Contents note

The collection consists of a letter to Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Haferman of San Francisco, California, from Chuck and Julia Pfarr in Kotna, Mt. Hagen, New Guinea. Julia writes about their new home in the mountains and that Chuck is making furniture for the house as well as providing medical care for the natives.

Biographical/Historical note

In 1953, Chuck and Julia Pfarr were missionaries in Kotna, Mt. Hagen, New Guinea. During their time there, Chuck established the Kotna Hospital (1954-1955).
