Beulah Bowden lived in Brodhead, Wisconsin. Beulah was the daughter of Jennie Sheldon Bowden.
Scope and Contents note
The collection contains several letters from Beulah to her mother Jennie Sheldon Bowden discussing daily life, her work as a teacher, and a trial involving the sell of liquor. One letter is from Fred C. Karlen offering her $40.00 for a teaching position. Also included is one letter written in German. There are two Christmas cards received by Beulah from friends wishing her well in the 1947 Christmas season.
