Biographical/Historical note

While no direct information was found within the scrapbook and loose material, a birthday card dated in July corroborates a Social Security death record for an Ada B. Parker born July 30, 1911. The same Ada B. Parker died on April 4, 1994.

Scope and Contents note

Scrapbook containing correspondence, newspaper clippings, and other ephemera. Materials concern civil rights, including articles by Elijah Muhammad; Christian thought and worship; and articles concerning centenarians around the country and world.

Newspaper clippings contain articles about civil rights, political cartoons, centenarians, and other miscellaneous topics. Correspondence includes letters and holiday greeting cards. Ephemera includes airplane tickets, church flyers and programs, graduation programs, and funerary programs.
