Biographical/Historical note
John Tyler was a member of the Whig party and the tenth President of the United States following the death of President William Henry Harrison. He served from 1841 to 1845.
Scope and Contents note
This collection contains a letter from Sam B. Curtis to his brother about their property. He also expresses his opinion of the Whig party, specifically President John Tyler. Curtis, also a member of the Whig party, has become disheartened by the actions of President Tyler.
