Letters to Elizabeth Chenault written by friends from Camp Eagle Point in New Hampshire, about their schoolwork and leisure activities.
Biographical/Historical note
Camp Eagle Point was located on Stinson Lake in New Hampshire. It was established for girls in 1905 to provide special instruction in music, art, and elocution in addition to camp sports. The camp closed in 1957.
Scope and Contents note
This collection contains twenty-eight letters to Elizabeth Chenault written by friends from Camp Eagle Point in New Hampshire. The girls write about their schoolwork and leisure activities. Several play tennis in their spare time. One detailed letter describes Halloween festivities.
