The collection contains a letter from Private Arthur F. Bradley, written on 18 May 1944, while stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia, to his parents in Dubuque, Iowa. He thanks them for a fountain pen they sent for his birthday and tells them of the oppressive heat in Georgia.

Arthur F. Bradley was the son of Harry and Stella Bradley and was born in 1913, in Iowa.
