Biographical/Historical note
In 1838 and 1839, Augustus Haven lived in Tyson Furnace, Vermont.
Scope and Contents note
The collection contains business letters written to Augustus Haven of Tyson Furnace, Vermont. The first letter, written on 27 December 1838, by M. S. Proctor, selling "engine and pumps." The second letter, written on 1 December 1839, by William Hayward of Acworth, New Hampshire, asking Haven to send patterns for top and bottom oven plates.
