Biographical/Historical note
Gertrude Hill Lakey lived in Corona, Alabama, in the early part of the 20th century. In 1926 and 1927 she received souvenir post cards from tourist destinations across the southern, eastern and lower plains states.
Scope and Contents note
The collection primarily consists of souvenir post card folders sent to Gertrude Hill Lakey in 1926 and 1927. There are also other letters, as well as a lock of hair in a bag with a 1924 dog tag and a typed essay.
